Ramblin’ Friday

1.   It was a hot day……cut some lettuce and took it over to an Indian family that lives fairly close to us.

2.  Made nachos for our supper meal. My husband absolutely loves it when I fix nachos for him.

3.  Done my Sabbath School lesson and read at length in my Bible.

4.  Had done a little housework getting in preparation for Sabbath.

5.  Made some dishwasher cubes for my dishwasher. Now I have enough made up for the next 2 weeks.

Here is the recipe for the dishwasher cubes. These are just pennies to make and very easy.

      1 cup borax
      1 cup washing baking soda
      1/4 cup epsom salts
      Lemon juice
Mix all powder ingredients together–For 1 cup of the mixed up powder add 4 Tablespoons lemon juice to it.
Mix well. Place in ice cube trays. Let it sit over night in windowsill or on counter to dry out.

Hi!!! I have enjoyed your journal very much. I do have a recipe for Dish Detergent for those who don’t have a dishwasher.
      Liquid Dish Soap
      1/2 cup grated castile soap
      4 cups water
      1/2 Tablespoon of vegetable glycerin
15 drops of Tea Tree Oil
20 drops of an essential oil such as Lavender, Orange, etc.
First you grate the bar of castile soap. Add the water. Over low/medium heat…gently bring it to a boil until soap is dissolved.
      Add glycerin and stir well.
Place in jar—-cool. Add your oils and allow to set for 24 hours—-stir occasionally.
